During this unit, children had to identify stronger and weaker shapes. Following this, they had to recognise that supporting shapes can help increase the strength of a bridge, allowing it to hold more weight. During the making phase, children had to use triangles to create simple truss bridges that supported a load (weight). Finally, they completed a bridge.
